Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson are in contention to face Norwich City on Sunday and that he expects Liverpool to recapture “an exciting dynamic” with the England striker back in the side.
Sturridge has not played for Liverpool since 8 April because of a hip problem that required surgery in the United States. The 26-year-old made only 18 appearances last season as a consequence of thigh, calf and hip problems but, having resumed full training over a week ago, is available for the visit of Alex Neil’s team to Anfield.
Liverpool have scored only four goals in six matches in all competitions this term and Rodgers believes that shortcoming will be addressed once Sturridge improves the manager’s options alongside Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho.
