The Football Medical Association admits it is “extremely disappointed” after Eva Carneiro left her position as Chelsea’s club doctor on Tuesday.

Carneiro’s role at Stamford Bridge was downgraded in August after she and physiotherapist Jon Fearn were branded “naive” by Jose Mourinho for running onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea City.
