Serie A Preview: Pioli under pressure, Napoli on fire & the new, 'new Maldini'
Four games played, four games won - Inter remain the team to beat in Serie A this season after maintaining their 100 percent record with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Chievo in the early kick-off on Sunday.
Nobody involved with the Nerazzurri is getting carried away, though. Quite right, too, because on the four previous occasions that they have won their opening four games, Juventus have always gone on to win the league!
And, worryingly for the rest of Serie A, the Bianconeri followed up their impressive Champions League success at Manchester City with a 2-0 victory at Genoa to put themselves on the road to recovery after a damaging start to their domestic campaign.
However, Napoli also announced their return to form with a stunning demolition job on a hapless Lazio side, while second-placed Torino continue to defy expectations thanks to the evergreen Fabio Quagliarella. AC Milan are slowly but surely improving under new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, even if they remain terribly suspect defensively.
Tuesday's trip to Udinese will tell us much more about the Rossoneri's chances of challenging for the Scudetto, and that game at the Friuli represents the opening to another fascinating round of Serie A action .
