Kompany intensity leads to injuries - Pellegrini

The Chilean coach believes that the Belgium's fitness issues are down to the fact that he plays every single match at maximum intensity
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has no plans to ask Vincent Kompany to change his style despite his captain's latest injury setback.

Kompany is battling a calf injury that will keep him out of Saturday's Premier League clash with West Ham at the Etihad.

Pellegrini said the Belgium international's intensity made him more likely to get injured, but added that there would be no request from him for the combative centre-half to alter his aggressive approach to the game.

"The way he plays, Vincent plays with 100 per cent intensity, not every match, but every training session," he said. . This posts are taken from the original authorized page. Authorized by the original author.
